Known worldwide as “LIONESS OF ITALY”, an epithet deriving from one of Giosuè Carducci’s poems, Brescia is the custodian of a rich heritage of art and history from prehistoric times to the modern day. Around the Roman Temple stands the largest archaeological site in northern Italy, and the different styles and buildings combine to create a harmonious area.   The beautiful Santa Julia Monastery houses the City Museum (of S.
